Ithaca mayor pauses Cornell University event permits over rape case

The mayor of Ithaca is working to hold Cornell University accountable for what he calls an "appalling response" to the allegations of a gang rape at the Chi Phi fraternity house two years ago.
Mayor Robert Cantelmo said: "Despite the severity of these crimes, Cornell University administrators and police failed to contact or coordinate any response with the Ithaca Police Department."
